Our hearts this morning are with the travelers
All the people moving across our planet
In the air, on the water, on the land
Carried aloft by machine
Pushed across the sea by wind
Rolling on the highway in a bus or a van or a car
Placing one aching foot after the other.
Moving to be reunited with family
Or leaving family behind
Traveling for an adventure
Moving to a new life
Full of expectation
Full of uncertainty
Unsure of the language
Unsure of the future
Excited, scared, exhausted, eager
We pray for the safety and the peace of all the travelers
We pray that every byway be a place of welcome and rest
May the find what they seek
May they be blessed by the journey
And whether their home is ahead of them or behind
May they find their way home.
