Thank you for the recognition, and the celebration, (and the cake!) of my one year anniversary as your Interim Minister.  My intention is to be with you for two more years, one year longer that the standard interim ministry.  The Board and I felt that with the significant conflict in the church prior to my arrival, the challenge of COVID, staff turnover, the re-building we needed to do with our membership and particularly our children’s Religious Education program, we needed an additional year to create the best possible foundation for your next minister.

This timeline means that we will elect a Search Committee at the end of this church year, Spring, 2024.  The Search Committee will conduct their work during the 2024-2025 church year.  Serving on a ministerial search committee requires a large time commitment, and careful work.  I encourage each of you to begin thinking whether this is work that calls to you.  Come ask me your questions if you’d like to know more about the search process.
