At the Board meeting on May 1, we made several important decisions I want to bring to your attention.
Our Board has been talking about plans for ministry in the coming year and we have a proposal we want to present to the congregation. After worship on May 8 and May 22 (the next two Sundays that I’m preaching), we will hold a casual discussion after worship to lay out our idea and hear your response. If the idea seems to be received positively we will have further discussion during the Annual Meeting and ask for a vote to move the idea forward. This newsletter isn’t the place to go into details, so plan to attend the Exploratory Meetings after worship on May 8 or May 22 to hear more.
Speaking of our Annual Meeting, we set the date for June 5. We will hear reports and conduct the business of the Fellowship including electing Trustees and approving a budget for the coming fiscal year.
And…
Mask wearing is no longer required in Huber Chapel. The Board made the decision at our May 1 meeting, effective immediately. You are welcome to continue to wear a mask as you feel comfortable. If you’re feeling sick we hope you’ll choose to stay home and join us on Zoom for the day.
Your Board works hard, and joyfully. It’s a pleasure to work with them. I hope you’ll express your appreciation personally next time you see them. (The Trustee’s names are at the bottom of this email.) And if you’re feeling called to serve on our Board, there’s a place for you. Please tell the Nominating Committee. They would love to hear your interest.
