A Place For You

We enjoyed a wonderful first Sunday back at Huber Chapel on March 6.  About 35 people chose to join us in person, with another 10 or so joining through Zoom.

We considered our first day back a “soft opening” to give us a chance to make sure the technology worked both for people at home and in the chapel and to set up the necessary safety protocols.  Everything seemed to go remarkably well.

Zoom has been a remarkable blessing during the pandemic.  But online worship doesn’t serve everyone or all of our needs for community.  It was thrilling to be able to gather in body as well as spirit once more.

We sang “Enter, Rejoice, and Come In” behind our masks.  Rev. Hoyt-McDaniels preached on Joy.  We welcomed one visitor, and loved seeing old friends.  Everyone remarked how much the children had grown.  Outside it was a lovely, sunny, day, perfect for sipping coffee and making community connections.

Our intent is to continue to offer worship in person and on Zoom.  We will schedule a “Grand Opening” in a few weeks, possibly April 3.  Please join as you feel comfortable.
