I had a wonderful time on Easter with you all. What a testament to what church can be at its best. We had fun. We showed off our creativity. We honored our past and prepared for our future. We sang together, celebrated together, enjoyed good food and company together. My sermon honored the Christian holiday, but with a UU perspective and invited a full house of members, friends, and visitors to contemplate issues of life and death that we don’t usually encounter outside of church. I was so proud of a sanctuary full of adults, a chancel full of children, a beautiful altar, and the dozens of staff members and volunteers who made it all possible. Thank you for a beautiful day at church.
