Our new church year is starting quickly with an abundance of programs.  Our choir had its first rehearsal and will be singing an anthem this Sunday.  On Tuesday the church will host a Presidential debate watch party in the Sanctuary.  Also on Tuesday evening I’ll hold the first session of an adult RE class reading the first two books of the Bible and answering questions like, “Does the Bible really say that?”  And, “Didn’t anyone ever notice that there are  two versions of this same story?”

This week also sees an ORIM concert, a Red Cross Blood Drive, our Women’s book discussion group, meetings of the Board and the Program Council, and our ongoing Wednesday morning Get Out the Vote letter-writing campaign.  Following our Water Communion this Sunday I feel like I should use the metaphor, “Dive In!”.  The church is ready to welcome you.
