Physical Distancing

Learnings from first facebook experiment.
Look at the camera
Don’t need a facebook account to watch live
Must have facebook account to watch the recorded message
Make sure you “like” the church’s page

Reminder about worship tomorrow
Join us at 10am
Everything else canceled tomorrow
Church closed on Monday
Board meeting on Tuesday
For other events at the church please check with the leader of the group

Again…

General Rule:  more than 25 people please cancel or reschedule.
Fewer than 25 people, especially if it’s around 10 or 12,
And if you think you can keep enough distance between everyone to be safe.
feel free to go forward.
But this may change soon!

Again…

Wash hands frequently
Stay home if you’re sick
And, as much as possible even if you feel well
If you do go out
Avoid close contact
Cover your cough/sneeze
Elbow and tissue, not handkerchief

Message:

Let’s call this “physical distancing” not “social distancing”
How about “social engagement with physical distance.”

Replace hand shakes with phone calls
Call your friends
How about you open up the church directory and call everyone who’s last name starts with your last Initial?
Replace hugs with emails
Email your friends
Or what if you broke out the stationary and sent notes to everybody?
Be a more interactive user of facebook

At home:
Use your backyard
(I don’t have one)
Clean your house
Good hygiene and gives you something to do.
Be grateful
We still have water
We still have electricity

Remember:
All the events that have been canceled can be rescheduled or re-created

Meanwhile…
Conversations will not be canceled.
Relationships will not be canceled.
Love will not be canceled.
Music will not be canceled.
Reading will not be canceled
Self-care will not be canceled.
Hope will not be canceled.

Let’s keep each other healthy so we call get through this together.

“See you” soon

Tune in this Sunday at 10 am
