June at the church is the month devoted to looking back, celebrating, and thanking.  Our final work for the year is our congregational meeting (June 30 this year) where we elect leadership and approve a budget to lead us through the coming fiscal year.  But the church year continues through August.  Just as the work week ends on Friday but the seven-day week concludes with a day of rest on Saturday, our church year includes a Sabbath month in July and a preparation month in August before the new year begins in September with our Ingathering service.

Honoring the Sabbath month of July, this newsletter will be taking a one month pause.  Church members wishing to promote July activities should submit articles in time for the June 29 edition of the newsletter which will cover the entire following month.  The newsletter will resume its regular weekly schedule with the newsletter published on August 3.
