Have you noticed some people who don’t usually wear jewelry sporting fashionable bead necklaces on Sunday? Those mardi gras beads indicate that folks have signed up for a pledge circle (purple), attended a pledge circle (green), and mailed in their pledge card (gold). Our Stewardship Campaign this year emphasizes that supporting the financial health of the church is something we all do together at whatever level we can give and requires everyone to get involved. If you haven’t already signed up for a circle, let the beads inspire you to join in our church-wide conversation.
Remember! The pledge circle isn’t just where you get your pledge card. Most of the hour will be spent in conversation with the other folks in the room sharing stories about what we love about our community and hope for in our future. Speaking and listening this way, gives crucial information to your church leaders as we prepare next year’s budget and prepare for the ministerial search. As in everything we do as a community, your input is essential. Please give an hour to this important exercise. And you’ll look great in your new necklace!
