What a wonderful month we’ve had!  I have so enjoyed celebrating our church’s 80th anniversary with you.  And I’m very much looking forward to the final two (biggest?) events this weekend.

I’ll see you at the GALA dinner Saturday evening, beginning at 6pm.  We will celebrate both the church’s 80th anniversary and the 25th year of my ministry, which began right here when I did my internship with UUCSC from 1996 to 1998.

For Sunday worship, we welcome to the pulpit our Minister Emeritus, Rev. Jay Atkinson, who served our church from 1999 to 2011.  I’ll share the chancel with Jay on Sunday and contribute to the service.  And one more treat, our choir will sing the last of the three specially composed anthems in honor of our 80th year; this one by choir member Dan Cragan.
