Our annual Stewardship Campaign is underway. Our team of trained canvassers have begun sending emails and making phone calls to set up meetings with all of our church members and pledging friends. Many one-to-one meetings have already happened, and the office has started to receive the pledge cards and the canvasser’s notes collecting your responses to the four questions they will ask during the meeting.
If you haven’t been contacted by your canvasser yet, expect a call soon. I hope that when your canvasser reaches out to you that you will accept their invitation to a meeting enthusiastically. Our Stewardship Campaign is only partly about collecting the pledge information we need to create next year’s budget; the campaign is also about affirming our relationships, listening to each other, getting to know our community more deeply, and hearing stories of what’s meaningful about our church for its members.
Our “Roots and Branches” Stewardship Campaign is part of our work of healing from the recent events by reconnecting with the good soil where our roots are planted. Lifting from that strength, we’ll be able to reach high into the air next year and in the future, following the dreams and priorities we learn about from the conversations with our canvassers. Mark you calendar now for a brunch after worship on April 2 to close our campaign and celebrate our community.
