I want to thank everyone for the warm welcome I’ve received in my first few weeks with you. It’s been a pleasure meeting you, getting to know you, and getting re-acquainted with some of you whom I already know. I have been working hard, and learning a lot. There’s a lot to do to get started! I’m excited to be with you and thrilled to be of service to this church that I love.
My regular schedule will be to work from my church office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. I’ll arrive around 10am and work through the afternoon, staying on for choir rehearsal or an evening meeting. It’s better to make an appointment to see me rather than drop by as I never know when I might be called away. On Fridays, I work from home; that’s my sermon writing day, but I will still respond to texts, emails, or calls. Three Sundays a month, I’ll lead worship and stay for any afternoon activities. Monday is my scheduled day off, although there’s some flexibility around that, as things come up. Saturday I’m available if there’s a need, otherwise that’s my second day off of the week.
If I haven’t yet had a chance to meet you, I hope that will happen soon. Let’s say “Hello” this Sunday!
