Let’s Create Something

Happy New Year!

Let’s begin this new year by imagining what we might create together in the coming year:  in our personal lives, in the life of our Fellowship, in the larger community around us.

Unitarian Universalists believe that human persons are good enough, smart enough, and strong enough, to create lives of spiritual health and joy for ourselves and for the world we share.  Our human power of creativity is at the heart of our theology.  We are creative people, who have what we need to make our visions of love, and peace, and justice come true.

The image above is a collage that I created a few weeks ago titled, “Nested Bowls.”  I enjoy making art.  You may not think of yourself as a creative person, but you are – we all are!  We create our lives as moment by moment we make choices and choose our actions and shape our reality.

A new year is a good reminder to be deliberate about your choosing, your life-making.  What do you want?  Who do you want to be?  What shall we become together?  How can our Fellowship help?
