Like most of you, I’m anxious for our Fellowship to begin meeting in-person again, as soon as possible. I’m craving those casual interactions, the energy, the presence of human bodies. This month, we will continue experimenting with creating a worship environment that will allow folks to gather in the chapel while others may join us online.
We are also convening a meeting, December 5, to discuss all of the other issues that must be resolved in order to make that happen. Issues like childcare, RE, masks, vaccinations, singing, coffee hour, visitors, volunteers.
Practically every aspect of how we do church needs to be re-thought for our new situation. That’s a daunting, but also exciting prospect because it allows us to focus again on the essential question, “What is church FOR?” And then “OK, how do we do that?”
I’d love to hear your thoughts. Send me an email at the address at the bottom of this newsletter. Or, if you’d like to join our discussion on December 5, contact Mark Hodson.
