2) Message

In a chaotic situation
Our first instinct is to assert control
In a very chaotic situation, such as we are in now
It’s better to recognize the limits of our ability to control
Controlling what can’t be controlled just creates its own stress
And actually contributes to the feeling of chaos

When people ask me when are we going to get back to normal
What’s going to happen
What do you think
I say, I don’t know.
I don’t know.

My new year’s message
Walking through a landscape
Noticing
Wondering
Discovering
Isn’t that interesting
Instead of making plans
Letting experience happen
And I used to make very detailed plans
Instead of controlling the world
Let the world come to me
Instead of seizing the day
Let the day seize me

Imagine each day as a trip that you take
Noticing the sights along the way
Oh this happened
Look at that tree
Oh the governor said this today
The path is bending that way, now
Listen to that
Was that a bird?
Look at that
How beautiful the sky is
I wonder what will come next?

I’ll see you tomorrow 1pm
