Asherah, Coatlicue, Sybil, Diana

Gaia, Hera, Quanyin, Mary

Hecate, Isis, Lakshmi, Parvati

Anat, Astarte, Athena, Shakti

Earth mother, heavenly mother, mother of us all,

Divine mother, human mother, imperfect mother

Dear mother, departed mother, my mother

I carry you with me, here, as you carried me.

As I came to life through you, now you live through me

You are in the cells of my body, in my thoughts, in myself

In my words I hear your voice

In my actions, I repeat your lessons

In my dreams for my life, I recognize the dreams you had for me

They are the dreams you had for yourself, too, now alive in me.

Let us walk together a little further

Hold my hand

Give me the care, every child needs

Let me feel your love

Lifting me, enfolding me, blessing me,

birthing me, again, today,

as at the beginning.
