These candles represent our deepest longings

For our lives

For our church

For our neighbors

For our world

As these candles burn throughout the year…

May each candle offer a kind of silent prayer

Expressing our hopes and dreams

Permeating, like candle smoke, throughout the atmosphere

Illuminating like candle light, the space around us

Warming, like candle flame, the hands and hearts of each of us.

A candle is intended to be used

May our lives, be similarly used

To bring our deepest longings to fruition

As we bless these candles

May we bless our world.
